Chief Accountant

Description

For our client - a successfull international production company - we are currently looking for a new Chief Accountant. The suitable candidate should have a passion for accounting and experience in this field as well as basic knowledge of controlling activities. 

This role includes various tasks and responsibilities such as:

• participation in the global finance and accounting function of the company
• processing monthly financial statements, reports and statistics
• checking the correct inventory balances and production costs each month
• creating and reviewing corporate reports and analysis for company management
• participating in the development of the financial plan
• participating in the management of the company's forecasts and the realisation of commitments
• subsidiary double-entry bookkeeping
• recording fixed assets, creating and accounting for depreciation
• cash and bank statement accounting with monthly reconciliation
• monthly VAT processing
• assisting/managing some of the company's global finance functions from Slovakia
• quality and documentation of quarterly/semi-annual inventories
• the use of the representation fund and its accounting in accordance with the applicable regulations
• processing of monthly reports
• fulfilment of other tasks from the company management within the set deadlines

Requirements

• proven experience on a similiar position 
• knowledge of Slovak accounting legislation
• experience with financial statements
• knowledge of VAT issues
• result orientation
• ability to work independently
• excellent communication skills
