The MSF Shared IT Services SITS was established in late 2019 as an independent entity within MSF to streamline the delivery of information technology (IT) services in MSF to increase efficiency, reduce duplicated efforts and improve the quality of technology support services in MSF. Today SITS directly manages service delivery across a range of services (O365, HR Database Hero etc), including a 24/7 service desk, provides IT infrastructure and security to all of MSF and is a key partner in IT projects.

The establishment of a shared service centre such as SITS has been quite an achievement and a challenge in a decentralised networked organisation such as MSF. Today SITS counts nearly 50 employees across the globe and is growing further. Currently up to 1000 tickets are being resolved per month and over 200 projects have been implemented since July 2019 with a growing trajectory as SITS delivers services to some 40 entities across MSF including OCs, Partner Sections, Branch Offices, satellites and support hubs.
